Michael Joy was born on February 25, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He attended St. Mary’s University at San Antonio, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. Michael attended Baylor University School of Law, in Waco, Texas, where he participated in mock trial and Practice Court. He was awarded the Matthew P. Cordon Excellence in Legal Research award in 2003. He obtained his J.D. in 2004. After being licensed, he first worked for the Law Offices of David McQuade Leibowitz, PLLC, where he practiced in Personal Injury, until 2007. He then went to work in the San Antonio Legal office for Safeco Insurance/Liberty Mutual Insurance as in-house counsel. His areas of practice included Personal Injury defense, Commercial Construction defense and Worker’s Compensation. He worked as a trial attorney there until 2015. Michael joined Allan, Nava, Glander & Holland, PLLC, in 2016.
Michael has tried several cases to verdict, primarily in South and Central Texas. He is licensed to practice law in Texas State Courts.
